01Who we are
MorrowCart is a UK-based e-commerce and dropshipping brand preparing to launch. This policy covers this informational website and, where applicable, our marketplace, order and fulfilment activities when those services are used.
The operator of MorrowCart is responsible for deciding how personal information is used for the purposes described here.
The current coming-soon website does not let you create an account, place an order, make a payment or subscribe to a newsletter. Order-related processing described below takes place only when relevant marketplace or e-commerce services are used; it does not happen simply because you visit this website.
02Information we may handle
Information you choose to provide. If you email us, we may receive your name, email address, message and information you include, such as an order reference if you have an order through an available marketplace service. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Technical information. Hosting and network providers delivering this website may process your IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and security-related logs to serve the site and protect it from abuse. This website does not create its own visitor database.
Order and marketplace information, where applicable. When relevant services are used, we may receive customer names, delivery addresses, products ordered, order details and references, transaction records, delivery and fulfilment updates, and email addresses or telephone numbers where necessary for fulfilment, delivery or customer support. This information may come from the marketplace, the customer, an authorised account holder or a fulfilment or delivery partner.
We limit the information handled to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. The current public website does not collect order or payment information, and browsing it does not give us access to your marketplace account.
04Why information is used
Where UK data protection law applies, we need an appropriate lawful basis. Depending on the activity, these may be:
- Legitimate interests: responding to general enquiries, operating and securing the website, preventing misuse, and administering authorised marketplace and support workflows, where necessary and balanced against your rights.
- Contract: taking steps you request before a purchase or fulfilling a contract with you when commerce services are used. This can include processing an order, arranging dispatch through a supplier or fulfilment partner, delivery, and handling returns or order support where necessary.
- Legal obligation: complying with applicable accounting, tax, consumer protection or other legal duties where relevant.
- Consent: where a particular optional activity requires it. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. The current website does not run optional marketing or analytics activities.
Information is used only as needed for its stated purpose. The current coming-soon website does not process purchases or make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
05Marketplace and API integrations
MorrowCart plans to integrate, or may use authorised integrations, with marketplaces such as eBay. When these services are used, information may be processed to provide, manage, automate or support necessary business workflows.
Depending on the service and permissions granted, this may include account identifiers, listing or product information, inventory information, orders, transactions, buyer or customer information, delivery information and fulfilment information.
Marketplace information is accessed and processed only where necessary for authorised workflows, within the permissions granted and applicable marketplace requirements. Necessary order information may be passed to suppliers and fulfilment partners as described in the next section. Browsing this website does not connect your marketplace account.
Marketplaces may act as independent controllers with their own policies. See eBay’s User Privacy Notice. The public website does not provide an OAuth callback; sign-in and authorisation infrastructure is operated separately. OAuth credentials, tokens and API secrets are not included in this website.
06Dropshipping and order fulfilment
When you buy from MorrowCart through an available marketplace or other sales channel, we may use a third-party supplier, dropshipping supplier or fulfilment partner to dispatch the product directly to you. A delivery or courier provider may then deliver the order.
To fulfil the order, we may need to provide those partners with limited customer and order information, where reasonably necessary:
- Your name and delivery or shipping address.
- The products ordered and relevant order details or reference.
- Your email address or telephone number only where genuinely needed for delivery, fulfilment or customer support.
We should provide only the information reasonably necessary for the partner’s relevant task, such as dispatch, delivery, handling a return or resolving an order issue. Providing necessary order details for these operational purposes does not mean we sell your personal information. MorrowCart does not sell personal information.
This section applies when the relevant order services are used. The current coming-soon website does not accept orders or send visitor information to suppliers for fulfilment merely because someone visits it.
07Service providers and sharing
Where necessary for the services used, personal information may be processed by or shared with:
- Marketplace platforms, such as eBay.
- Suppliers, including dropshipping suppliers, and fulfilment partners.
- Delivery and courier providers.
- Payment service providers, where applicable to the relevant sales channel.
- Website hosting, network and security providers.
- Email and communication providers.
- Automation and integration service providers.
- Professional or legal advisers where necessary.
- Authorities where disclosure is legally required.
Sharing is limited to information reasonably necessary for the recipient’s role and relevant purpose. Depending on the circumstances, a recipient may act as a processor following our instructions or as an independent controller with its own legal obligations and privacy policy. Appropriate contractual arrangements and safeguards are required where applicable.
Cloudflare Pages is the intended website hosting provider. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its own processing. Other providers depend on the services actually configured; this policy does not imply a particular supplier, courier or payment provider is currently in use.
Operational sharing to fulfil or support orders is different from selling personal information. MorrowCart does not sell personal information.
08International processing
Marketplaces, suppliers, dropshipping or fulfilment partners, delivery providers and infrastructure providers may process information outside the UK. We do not represent that information is always processed exclusively in the UK.
Where UK data protection law applies to an international transfer, an appropriate legal mechanism must be used where required. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve UK adequacy regulations, approved contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another legally permitted transfer mechanism where its conditions are met.
Applicable safeguards and any required assessment depend on the provider, destination and processing involved; they must be considered before the relevant transfer. You can email us to request details of the arrangements applicable to your information.
09Keeping information secure
Information needs proportionate technical and organisational protection. This website keeps credentials out of its public source and assets and is intended to be served over HTTPS. Where marketplace and fulfilment services are used, access should be limited to authorised people and providers who need information for the relevant task.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information in an enquiry.
10How long information is kept
Information is kept only for as long as necessary for its purpose, taking account of outstanding enquiries, order fulfilment, returns or disputes, security needs and applicable legal obligations.
Enquiry records may be kept while an issue is being handled and for a reasonable follow-up period. Order, marketplace and fulfilment records, when those services are used, may need to be retained to complete delivery and support, handle returns or claims, and satisfy applicable accounting, tax or other legal requirements. Hosting and security logs follow the relevant provider’s configured retention.
Retention depends on the record and purpose rather than a single period for all information. Information should be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, unless further retention is required by law.
11Your data protection rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended, your rights may include:
- Access to your personal information and a copy of it.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion or restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
- Objecting to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Receiving or transferring information in a portable format where the right applies.
- Withdrawing consent where we rely on it.
To make a request, email support@morrowcart.com. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. Requests are normally answered within one month; where a lawful extension applies to complex or multiple requests, we will explain it.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint for details. See the ICO’s guidance for the public for more about your rights.
12Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the website and services develop, including before adding new collection methods, optional tracking or shopping functionality. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
13Contact and privacy enquiries
For general enquiries, privacy questions or data protection requests, email support@morrowcart.com.
For questions about MorrowCart’s use of marketplace or fulfilment information, contact us using that email address. You can also raise questions about a marketplace’s own processing through its privacy or support channels.
